Like his predecessors who were the first to combine the territory with wine, he too, firmly believing in the value of the terroir, created the Superior classification of Custoza.

During his presidency he also spent/activated with conferences to bring innovation to the territory with the integral mechanization of the vineyard.

2005
With the continuous evolution and the search for cutting-edge and innovative technologies, the company has been able to develop to reach over 45 hectares of vineyards between Sommacampagna, Valeggio, Sona and Villafranca, becoming with the new headquarters in Villafranca the reference point for the wine production of the DOC of the area.

2021
Since 2021, the brothers Massimo and Alessandro have been running the company with their son Federico, fourth and fifth generation, who, like the three previous generations who have led the company over the years, have chosen to maintain the high quality of the product.

Thanks also to the collaboration with the oenologist Damiano Peroni, new winemaking techniques have been applied such as Custoza Crea, a 100% macerated wine that ages in amphorae, and Custoza Riserva, a new wine classification that with research in the vineyard on native varietals wants to express the concept of longevity.
The Albino Piona company adheres to the FIVI (Italian Federation of Independent Winemakers) and for this reason it stands out for the exclusive use of its vineyards, without external purchases, guaranteeing complete control from the vineyard to the processing in the cellar.
