The Albino Piona winery is the first company that combines the Custoza territory with wine, giving its name to the white called Custoza.

Historical labels preserved in the company and by the Bozzi printing house in Villafranca di Verona dating back to 1940 and one from 1944 with Celtic characters, used during the Second World War for the German occupation, document its origins.

1960

Silvio, in honor of his father, named his son Albino. The latter took over the company in 1960, inheriting his father’s foresight and creating special wines such as the iconic Verde Piona.

1971

The winemaking vocation of the Piona family since 1940 has always offered its wines on the menus of the trattoria, which became Bianco Custoza DOC in 1971 and Rosso Custoza DOC del Bardolino in 1968.
