Custoza Superiore Campo del Selese
D.O.C.Campo del Selese wants to show the great ageing potential of Custoza D.O.C. thanks to its specific mineral character and flavor, then becoming a Custoza Superiore.
In the rural tradition, "selese" ("threshing floor") used to be a small outdoor portion of the farmyard, paved with terracotta bricks, to be found in a place exposed to the sun all day long to dry cereals for winter time. Originally, Campo del Selese used to be the field ("campo") destined to the production of this wine, near the threshing floor ("selese").
