White wines

Custoza Albino Piona

D.O.C.

Custoza wine originates from a blend of white berry grape varieties, autochthonous in the area of Verona, in conformity with the 1968 D.O.C. laws.

Among Italian D.O.C. white wines, Custoza is a peculiar one, as it is made with a blend of different grapes giving it that special freshness and aromatic complexity, distinguishing it from varietals.

Vinification

grapes are vinified separately. Once destemmed and crushed, a soft pressing takes place. Musts are then carefully clarified and alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperature follows. It settles on its fine lees in stainless steel tanks for some months. Only at the end of this ageing process, is the Custoza "blend" fulfilled.
