Corvina Cà Palazzina

I.G.T

Corvina is a dark blue–colored wine grape variety. Its name is likely to originate from the very dark color of its grapes ("nero corvina" is the Italian for "raven black"), but it is more likely to come from the local dialect: Cruina (crua = "acerba", the Italian for "unripe") due to its ripeness difficulties.

Corvina grape is one of the noblest autochthonous grapes of the area of Verona. Crossed with other local grapes, it results in prestigious D.O.C. wines of Veneto.

In our line: Cà Palazzina – Corvina: we propose it pure as varietal.

Fully obtained from the grapes harvested in the homonymous estate owned by winery Albino Piona in San Rocco di S. Giorgio in Salici, Sona, Verona - Italy

The estate lies 10 km from Peschiera del Garda.
