Oscar 2018! The best Italian wines for winesurf

For the 2018 edition of the guide, we tasted something like 4,500 wines (4,207 to be precise), going through almost every Italian region.

Out of the 4,207 wines we tasted, 416 rated as TOP WINE, i.e. they scored at least 86/100. Among them, only 57 scored at least 90.

A great Pinot Nero! Sorry, we wanted to say a great Bardolino. But considering the hints of rose, blood, raspberry, undergrowth and how they integrate at the best and when tannins, persuasive and velvety, and freshness are of such a high level, we run the risk to confuse it for a Gevrey Chambertin. Well done!
