Grapes form a palette of colours that the wine-maker uses to create works of art with personal artistry
It's a poetic image by Albino Piona and his family, that has been growing grapevines and has been producing white, red and rosé wines in the heart of Custoza area since before the Unity of Italy.
Albino, “wine craftsman” as he defines himself, follows personally his “paintings”, that are his wines, from the first sprouts on the grapevines, to the harvest, to the wine-making and to the final bottling. He follows this all with great respect towards the tradition, but at the same time taking constantly care of the new technologies and possible improvements by applying modern techniques.
The show room is a sort of “Naturarte” space for thepublic. The bottles are in view, the barrels, vine shoots and grapes are used as nature design, between the cultural ferments of works of art, theatre, music that re-echo in this space. Passion gets mixed up with passion, Bacchus and the Muses together infuse high temperature to the show room Naturarte.

"I remember as a child I was captivated while I watched my shoemaker father working with glue, leathers, nails and hammers, with expert hands. After many years of working in other fields for a living, I came across an old wooden door with patched nailed iron; to me it seemed like a true work of art. From that moment on, I began to do the same work as my father, but with different materials, iron and wood instead of leather and hide. At the beginning I renovated old furniture nailing down metal pieces, then in 2008 I moved on to some sculptures, 5 life size robots. Then, starting from 2009 I started to create canvases that I call “metal pictures”, these are collages made with pieces of metal nailed down together. I recycle old tin boxes that I find in various flea markets and tin cans abandoned in the countryside and riverbeds. Twenty years ago, a friend of mine said about me: 'Roberto loves the metal that is already in the earth." www.tinsonpanel.com
